Friends of the Earth Africa Documentary on Industrialplantation Impacts on Women

Aggressive landgrabbing and deforestation for expansion of agrocommodity plantations is causing a new wave of oppression and colonialization in Africa, with devastating impacts on people, including differentiated and aggravated consequences for women.

In the face of ongoing social, environmental and gender injustice in Africa, defending people’s rights is crucial to dismantling corporate power and challenging the capitalist neoliberal model of industrial plantation expansion.

In that regard, FoE Africa Forest and Biodiversity Program has produced a documentary in which women who are most impacted by industrial plantations corporations’ activities give testimonies.
